The MOXI is a fractionated, non-ablative laser manufactured by Sciton—the market leader in aesthetic lasers. Fractionated means the laser beam is split into an array of tiny micro-beams. Each tiny beam creates a heat injury deep into the dermis. Non-ablative means that the skin surface is not disrupted, so the healing time is very short and without downtime.

These micro-injuries stimulate a healing response that generates new collagen and builds healthier, younger-looking skin. The treatment feels tolerably hot but does not require anesthetic.

MOXI can be done as a stand-alone treatment or in combination with other treatments such as BBL, microneedling, Sculptra, and topical skincare products to achieve even better results. It can be done on the face or any other part of the body.

Why are MOXI, BBL and SkinTyte beneficial together?

MOXI, BBL and SkinTyte are three of the most popular laser treatments available today. The combination of these treatments can provide a comprehensive approach to improving the appearance of the skin. MOXI is a fractional laser that uses light energy to create small controlled wounds on the skin. This stimulates collagen and elastin production, resulting in smoother, firmer skin. BBL is a light-based laser treatment that helps reduce the appearance of sun damaged skin, acne scars, and fine lines. Finally, SkinTyte is a non-invasive laser treatment designed to lift and tighten the skin to improve its overall tone, texture, and firmness.

By combining these treatments, patient can benefit from a comprehensive approach to achieving younger, healthier looking skin. The MOXI fractional laser helps improve skin tone, texture, and firmness while BBL can reduce the appearance of sun damage, acne scarring, and wrinkles. SkinTyte helps further improve the skin’s firmness and texture, resulting in smoother, more youthful looking skin. Additionally, the combination of these treatments can help reduce downtime associated with individual treatments, as well as providing a more effective overall outcome.

MOXI is a non-invasive, gentle laser skin rejuvenation treatment for patients whose skin would like a refreshing boost, and to enhance a youthful glow.

After your skin has been cleansed, your skincare professional will configure the MOXI laser to the best customized setting for you. As the MOXI laser moves across your skin, you may feel a slight warming spicy sensation, that’s okay, the warming sensation means the laser is working intact with your skincare professional for best Moxi treatment. Nuance will discuss the number of sessions, configuration, and complementary treatments to meet your goals and concerns.

Results may vary depending on the treatment goal. Collagen production is stimulated within a week, and the skin should have a noticeable improvement. Optimal results are usually noticed in about three months.

The downtime is usually some redness and warmth in the skin for about 2-8 hours, followed by mends (which are little microscopic wounds that leave the skin with a grainy, darkened pigment, and grainy texture that lingers usually 5-7 days.

The great thing about MOXI, is that EVERYONE is basically a good candidate, as it is safe for all skin types.

Typically patients get noticeable improvement in the skin that lasts years after laser therapy, but does require maintenance treatments usually seasonally to maintain optimal results.
