NovaThreads contain absorbable polydioxanone (PDO) sutures that can be used to lift the skin for a younger complexion. NovaThreads are often used for cardiothoracic surgery and have been recognized by medical professionals as one of the safest materials to be embedded into the body. The NovaThreads themselves are absorbable hypodermic needles that contain PDO sutures.

It typically takes between 4 and 6 months for the body to absorb NovaThreads.
A PDO thread lift recovery period lasts 2-4 weeks. During this time, you may experience temporary soreness or swelling; it is normal and will subside. Your skin should return back to normal within a week after receiving the treatment if you experience any adverse reactions.
