Pre-Care Instructions

TCA Peel Treatment Guide

To ensure safe treatment and optimal results, please follow these guidelines before your appointment:

  • If you are prone to cold sores (herpes simplex):
  • Consult your provider prior to treatment
  • Preventative medication may be recommended
  • If your skin is irritated before your appointment, contact our office:
  • Sunburn
  • Open wounds
  • Sores

  • Inform your provider if you have recently used:
  • Spray tan
  • Self-tanning products
  • Avoid sun exposure for at least 24 hours prior to treatment
  • Discontinue the following 24 hours prior:
  • AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids)
  • Retinol
  • Vitamin A products
  • Avoid waxing in the treatment area for at least 1 week prior

Post-Care Instructions

Proper aftercare is essential for healing and achieving the best results:

  • The treated area may appear:
  • Pink
  • Mildly inflamed (similar to a mild sunburn) for 24–48 hours
