Microneedling with natural growth factors is the ultimate technique for natural skin rejuvenation. It is excellent for improving tone, texture, fine lines, wrinkles, brown spots, acne scars, and dull, tired-looking skin. This treatment is non-invasive and requires little to no downtime. Microneedling can also be combined with PRF to increase its skin health benefits.
While many locations offer basic resurfacing, we specialize in collagen induction, using a medical-grade microneedling device to penetrate the skin at the exact depth needed for your specific skin concerns. At our Salt Lake City suite, this outpatient procedure balances results with comfort, often incorporating platelet-rich plasma (PRP) or growth factors to accelerate your skin's healing process.

Triggers the healing process by creating microscopic punctures that stimulate collagen production.

A minimally invasive option that allows you to return to your routine quickly.

Proven to treat scars, enlarged pores, and even stretch marks.

One of the few cosmetic treatments that is safe and effective for darker skin tones.

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a cosmetic procedure that uses a device equipped with very thin needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the top layer of the skin. These small punctures are invisible to the naked eye but are enough to signal the deeper layer of the tissue to produce more collagen and elastin. By bypassing the need for aggressive plastic surgery, the microneedling process allows for deep skin remodeling and new tissue formation, effectively addressing aging skin and skin texture issues from the inside out.
Your microneedling treatment begins with the application of a topical anesthetic cream to ensure discomfort is kept to an absolute minimum. Once the numbing cream has taken effect, your provider glides the medical-grade microneedling device over the treatment area. As the tiny needles penetrate the skin, you may feel a light vibrating sensation. The entire process takes about 30 to 45 minutes, making it a convenient outpatient procedure. Because the needles don't damage blood vessels significantly, the treatment is safe and requires very little downtime.

While the face is the most commonly treated area to improve the appearance of acne scars and enlarged pores, microneedling can be performed almost anywhere on the body. It is frequently used on the neck, décolletage, and even the stomach or thighs to treat scars and stretch marks.
Microneedling is a powerhouse for treating a variety of skin conditions, including:
Textural Scars: Diminishing acne scars and surgical scars.
Signs of Aging: Softening fine lines, wrinkles, and aging skin.
Pigmentation: Fading dark spots and evening out skin tone.
Body Concerns: Improving the appearance of stretch marks and addressing hair loss on the scalp.

Microneedling delivers dramatic results through a minimally invasive approach. Through a process of collagen induction, the treatment naturally firms the skin and refines texture without the heat risks of other treatments, such as certain lasers.
This makes microneedling a preferred choice for patients with darker skin tones who may be prone to hyperpigmentation. Additionally, the microscopic punctures create temporary channels that allow skincare products or topical growth factors to penetrate deeper, significantly increasing their efficacy.

Most people who want to improve their skin's texture and tone are excellent candidates for microneedling. It is ideal for those who prefer a minimally invasive approach over plastic surgery. However, you should avoid the treatment if you have active acne, infections, or are prone to keloid scars. During your microneedling consultation, we will assess your skin to ensure you are a good candidate and determine if longer needles or multiple sessions are needed for your specific goals.
Recovery from microneedling involves very minimal downtime. Immediately after the procedure, you will experience some redness and a sensation similar to a mild sunburn, which typically fades within 24 to 48 hours. We recommend avoiding makeup and direct sun exposure on the first day to allow the healing process to begin undisturbed. Within a few days, your skin may feel slightly dry or tight as the new tissue forms, but you can typically return to your normal routine almost immediately.

You may notice a glowier complexion shortly after your first treatment, but the most significant results from new collagen and elastin development will appear over several weeks. As the skin's healing process continues, your skin texture will become smoother, and wrinkles will appear softened.
To achieve optimal results, especially for deep acne scars or surgical scars, we often recommend multiple treatments, typically a series of 3 to 6 sessions. Because collagen induction is a cumulative process, your skin will continue to improve for months after your final treatment, providing a longer-lasting, healthier appearance.

Are you ready to make your goals a reality?
Microneedling or collagen induction therapy rejuvenates the skin by using the body’s natural rejuvenation abilities in a process known as controlled wound healing.
Growth factors are responsible for the repair of damaged skin, providing healing and restoring firmness and elasticity by promoting the formation of elastin and collagen. By adding natural growth factors to microneedling treatment, the growth factors are penetrated deeper into the skin to initiate healing.
Results will continue to show for several weeks. Damage sustained over a long period will take time to heal. The final results may not be seen for up to six months after your final session. Individual results may vary.
A typical treatment generally lasts about one hour (this includes about 40 minutes of topical numbing), depending on the number and size of the treatment areas and the type of treatment requested by the patient.
A topical anesthetic may be applied to provide comfort during this treatment.
Do not apply anything to the skin for 24 hours post-treatment. Expect redness and/or swelling, which will resolve within 1-2 day following treatment. After 24 hours, you may use a gentle cleanser and your daily SPF.
Everyone heals differently. Most patients experience swelling and redness two to four days after the microneedling procedure.
The Microneedling procedure includes using medical-grade needles gently rolled over the skin. Small punctures in the skin, or micro-wounds are created. The micro-wounds stimulate healing processes, and increases the production of collagen and elastin.
Depending on your individual goals and your skin’s health, we typically recommend multiple treatments. Most patients undergo three procedures separated by four weeks, but we will create a customized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs.
Good candidates for micro needling would be anyone interested in a minimally invasive treatment for scars, wrinkles, or hyperpigmentation.
